About KSO 

The Kitchen Sink Orchestra is an aleatoric/improvising music ensemble. 

The KSO welcomes sound makers at all levels of skill (and we mean all) to bring any sound-making devices of their choosing - including musical instruments. Each iteration of KSO develops a repertoire of music and sound art to be determined by the participants and the instruments they bring. We use compositional techniques dear to the hearts of many composers active from the mid 20th century and into the current day: graphic scores, written instructions, aleatoric procedures of various kinds, and improvisation, both free and structured. 

Every performer in the KSO is also a composer, and we can pretty well guarantee that each performance will be a unique experience.
